LOVELAND, ColoradoAuthorities said on Wednesday that while almost 100 massive fires raged across the western United States, one person had died in one of many wildfires that were endangering densely populated regions of the Colorado foothills. 1 Person Killed in Colorado Wildfires as Blazes Torch News in USA

Authorities said that the deaths were caused by a fire that started close to the town of Lyons and burned more than two square miles (six square kilometers) by Wednesday afternoon. Boulder County Sheriff Curtis Johnson stated without elaborating that the person’s remains were found in one of the five burnt residences.
As 150 firefighters battled the flames on Wednesday, the Stone Canyon Fire, despite being labeled as 100% contained, was not expanding considerably, according to Johnson. It was one of many sizable flames raging in Colorado’s Front Range, a heavily populated zone that spans about 80 miles and includes Denver. 1 Person Killed in Colorado Wildfires as Blazes Torch News in USA

Overnight on Tuesday, there were orders for around 575 homes from multiple subdivisions to evacuate due to a fire near the western fringe of the Denver metro area, west of the small town of Conifer. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire covered less than one square mile (2.5 square kilometers), but it was predicted to spread as high temperatures as high as almost 100 degrees (38 Celsius) were predicted.

Four helicopters were pouring water from a nearby reservoir on that fire, while an aircraft was dropping fire retardant. It was difficult to put out from the ground because it was blazing in a steep area, according to Mark Techmeyer of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. 1 Person Killed in Colorado Wildfires as Blazes Torch News in USA
