A major fire in Northern California is now the sixth largest in state history, having grown to around 610 square miles on July 30. This makes it larger than the metropolis of Los Angeles.

By Wednesday afternoon, 361 structures—209 of which were single-family homes—had been destroyed by the Park fire, which broke out on July 24 after a man is said to have pushed a burning car into a park ravine. Incident Commander Billy See, an assistant fire chief for the Fresno County Fire Protection District, made this announcement.
She stated during a press conference in the afternoon, “We still have a lot of work ahead of us.

Approximately 6,000 firefighters were fighting the massive fire with the assistance of approximately 200 bulldozers, 521 fire engines, and 41 helicopters. By Wednesday, See reported that eighteen percent of the fire had been suppressed. Raging California Wildfire Swells News in USA
